Custom Printed PVC Banners

These products are arguably our most popular items. Our large and wide 440gsm PVC banners boast what is by far our most popular banner material for both professional and personal use. Their design features mean they can be used for outdoor advertising or indoor events. These custom banners are often used as advertising banners, school banners, event banners, and temporary shop signage.

We print your 440gsm banners using the latest UV-based inks which will not fade in sunlight and are waterproof. Our 440gsm PVC banner is both light and durable, and this makes it ideal to roll up and store. Printed 440gm PVC banners are very easy to transport yet they are also able to sustain long periods of time outside in all types of weather conditions. They offer unrivalled versatility,and as such make a great investment for companies of any size and industry who still appreciate the value of traditional printed marketing techniques.

Banner printing is now cheaper than ever. Signs & Print are able to print and finish your banners very quickly and at very affordable prices. Each PVC banner is printed to bespoke specifications, which means that you can have whatever design you wish printed onto the banner. You can supply your own artwork or use our graphic design service and let our studio come up with a design for you; this is a great option if you don’t have in-house design staff, or are struggling to find the time to come up with something suitable.

Please Note: Banners under 1500mm high and 25 metres wide will not have any joins. Bigger banners will need to contain a join.

Our 440gsm PVC banners are only meant to provide temporary signage solutions. In the case of heavy winds, especially those over 30mph, please remove your banner to avoid lasting damage.

Hems & Eyelets
Banners will be given a reinforced hem, then eyeletted at equal distributions along the hem. Reinforced hems are created by folding over approximately 30mm of extra banner material to the backside of the banner creating a double thickness on the edges.

The standard distribution of eyelets is one per metre and we recommend leaving an inner margin of 60mm clear of any text. If you require a different distribution or specific placement of eyelets, that’s no problem at all - simply let us know what you need when you place your order.

Hems Only
Banners will be given a reinforced hem, the reinforced hems are created by folding over approximately 30mm of extra banner material to the backside of the banner creating a double thickness on the edges.

Trimmed to Size
Banners will be cut to the size ordered.

Trimmed to Size with Eyelets
Banners will be cut to the size ordered then eyeletted at equal distributions along the edges.

The standard distribution of eyelets is one per metre. If you require a different distribution or specific placement of eyelets, that’s no problem at all - simply let us know what you need when you place your order.

Pole Pockets
A pocket is added to the edges you require to allow a pole to pass through and support and tension the banner an eyelet can also be placed at each edge to allow fixing of retaining loop required in some installations.

As standard we add a pole pocket suitable for a 60mm scaffold pole. You will need to add 180mm to each edge where a pole pocket is required as we produce the pockets inclusive of your overall size. Please let us know which edges (top/bottom/left/right) are to have pockets, as well as the diameter of the pole(s) being used if not our standard size.

Custom pole pocket sizes are available on request. If you need to calculate the pocket allowance area, please use this formula:

Pole Diameter × 2.5 + 30mm =??? add this to every edge where a pole pocket is required, however, if you let us know the diameter of the pole to go into the pole pocket we can calculate the size of the pocket for you.

The most common confusion with pole pockets arises when some customers expect the pockets to be added to the overall size of the banner ordered. Instead, we produce pockets inclusive of the overall size you order.

This requires you to add a pole pocket allowance area, which varies in size depending on the diameter of pole that will be used. This pocket allowance area should be used on any edge where a pocket will be required.

We recommend this area is kept free of any important content (text, logos) and only used for background images and colours.
